JEE Advanced 2026 – Difference Between AAT and Architecture Admission at IITs
Wed Mar 18 2026

The Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT) is conducted by IIT Bombay for candidates interested in B.Arch programs at IITs. Only JEE Advanced 2026 qualified candidates can appear for AAT. The test evaluates freehand drawing, geometrical understanding, and architectural aptitude. AAT is held once a year, typically within a week of JEE Advanced results. Currently, IIT Kharagpur and IIT Roorkee offer B.Arch programs through AAT. Candidates must register separately for AAT after JEE Advanced results. Scores are qualifying in nature; admission is then done through JoSAA.
