IIT Admission 2026 – Opening and Closing Ranks for Top Branches

JoSAA 2026 has released the opening and closing ranks for all IITs. Computer Science Engineering at IIT Bombay closed at AIR 67 (General), while IIT Delhi CS closed at AIR 98. Electrical Engineering at IIT Madras saw a closing rank of AIR 450. Mechanical Engineering branches across older IITs saw closing ranks ranging between 3,000 to 7,000. New IITs have relatively higher closing ranks. Candidates are advised to fill choices wisely using previous year rank data as a reference.
