Introduction

NMIMS is a renowned private deemed-to-be university located in Mumbai, established with a mission to deliver quality management and higher education. It has grown rapidly into a multidisciplinary university offering management, engineering, law, science, commerce, pharmacy, and design programs with a global outlook.

History & Establishment

Founded in 1981 by Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal (SVKM), NMIMS started modestly with a two-year full-time master's program in management studies, only 40 students, four full-time faculty, and a small library. It was initially affiliated with the University of Mumbai and formally declared a deemed university in 2003. Since then, NMIMS expanded to multiple campuses and diverse schools across India.​
